As COVID restrictions are being eased, for the time being we have no plans to the change our protocols.
We would be delighted to have our lovely clients back inside with their pets, however at this current time we cannot increase the risk of a member of staff testing positive for COVID 19, because if we do it is highly likely the Public Health England will order a significant proportion of our team to self isolate. This is because it is impossible for us to socially distance whilst treating your pets, despite our best efforts. This could result in the practice having to close for a period of 10 days or more.
We are currently extremely busy with routine consultations and procedures, as well as emergencies, so you may experience some delay in getting a routine non-urgent appointment. We apologise for this, but rest assured we are working as hard as we possibly can. If we were to have to close due to a track and trace situation this delay would be extended further.
We should point out we will always see urgent and emergency cases.
We hope you can appreciate we are doing everything we possibly can to minimise the COVID risk to both staff and clients, but treating your animals is our number one priority so we want to minimise the risk of the practice having to close due to a track and trace issue.
Thank you once again for your understanding during these times.
